HOW OFTEN DO YOU SAY "THANK YOU"?

How often do you say “Thank you”?

Showing gratitude is easy, yet sometimes we forget to say thank you..

To Bibi/Mbak who does almost all the housework;
To the taxi driver who drives us wherever we want to;
To the phone operator who listens to our complaints;
To the gardener at the office who works his best maintaining the garden’s beauty;
To the toll-gate keeper who risks his or her health condition due to pollution;
To the caretaker who wipes the toilet’s floor to prevent us from slipping;
To the security guard who opens and closes the mall door for us,
To our grandparents who did their best taking care of our parents;
To our parents who never stop caring and supporting us since we were little;
To our lover who works hard to make a living;
And to God who lets us breathe, live, and love..

One night, I felt so bored and uninspired. I reached for my laptop to check my blog and read the incoming comments one by one. Then I found a comment from a loyal reader who always said “Thank you” in every article that I posted. She mentioned that she really appreciated every blog post that I wrote, especially the ones that wrote during my pregnancy. She said that she understood being pregnant meant I could be super exhausted and breathless just by shooting pictures and writing reviews for blog posts. And I really was.

She wrote..

“Anyway, thank you for making time to write and give some beauty product reviews! I hope one day your baby is going to be as spirited as you. Even though you’re breathless, you still tried your best to write. I’ve thanked you so many times for doing this again and again. I appreciate it.”

“Million times I’ve told and thanked you for being inspiring and for sharing something precious. At least for me. I agree with you! After reading your quotes, I become more spirited to live and fight for a better life. Thank you.. Thank you for being inspiring and thank you for sharing (I’d never be bored saying this :D). By the way, you deserve what you’ve got and achieved today because you ROCK! :D”

I always knew that I blogged for myself, not for people.

But I’m happy to be able to share my stories with others, especially if people gain useful information from my writings. I’m also gleeful if there’s someone out there appreciating what I’ve shared on this blog, and that means the world to me.

It’s true that I don’t know my readers personally, but I always wish them a happy and healthy life. So does their family. I thank them and I could never thank them enough.

I would also thank the kind-hearted girl who has always appreciated even the simplest writing I did. She reminds me to always be grateful and respectful by showing gratitude towards the tiniest thing in life.
